After World Cup Shoaib Akthar to retire

Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has decided to retire after the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He told this news to his team mates at the Premadasa Stadium. Shoaib's World Cup campaign began on a good note till he was torn apart by Ross Taylor in the final overs of the match. He was rested in the game against Canada and was dropped in the game against Zimbabwe.
One can recall Shoaib Akthar's rise to fame in the test match against India when he dismissed Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. Although he has been caught in several controversies rearding his bowling action and discipline he has always been a valuable asset to Pakistan. Shoaib bowled at 100mph against New Zealand in 2002 and needs just 3 more wickets to touch the 250 mark in one day cricket. He said that he hoped that he would play his last match on 2nd April.
