Two accidents in two weeks. This time the accident occurred at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia. Honda's 24 year old Italian driver Marco Simoncelli lost his life after suffering chest and head injuries. Check the video of the Sepang crash.

Mumbai Indians are Champions League 2011 winners

No one thought a team which was plagued with injuries could win the Champions league trophy. Mumbai Indians did exactly that. Before the start of the tournament their player were succumbing to injuries at the rate of knots. There was a stage where one more injury would have left them with insufficient players to field a team.   But on Sunday night they clinched the Champions League 2011trophy defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 31 runs.


After bowling out the Mumbai Indians for 139 runs Royal Challengers Bangalore must have thought that they were favorites to win the cup but Mumbai Indians bowlers had other plans. Harbhajan Singh, Chahal, Pollard, Malinga all bowled superbly. After T. Dilshan got out Bangalore were never in the match. Mumbai Indians got  $2.5 million as prize money whereas the runners up team got $1.3 million.

Shoaib: Why is your lips shivering?
Oprah: You need to get your eye sight tested. My lips are not shivering.. I am speaking to you.
Shoaib: Ever since Sachin has hammered me for sixes in the World Cup match I am shivering and whenever I see around I feel everyone is shivering.
Oprah: Did you ever see Sachin shiver as mentioned in your book?
Shoaib: How could I see ? My eyes were closed when I was throwing err.... I mean bowling the ball.
Oprah : Then why did you mention Sachin's name in the book?
Shoaib: My publisher said that if I mentioned Sachin's name I could make more money otherwise no money.
Oprah: So how many copies have you sold?
Shoaib: Not much. I have a copy here. Do you want to buy one?

Oprah: But Shoaib said that he didn't see Tendulkar shiver?
Shahid: Who said I see Sachin Tendulkar's leg shiver? I see Shoaib Akhtar's legs shiver
when bowling to Sachin.

Farmers angry with Indian F1 Grand Prix

Farmers in India are threatening to disrupt the Airtel Formula1 Grand Prix which is scheduled to take place on 30th October 2011. The race is going to be held at the Buddh International Circuit  ( Noida) which is situated near the capital New Delhi. The farmers are demanding better compensation for their lands which had been taken for the development of the race track. The leader of the agitation Virender Dhada has said that they would start protest marches and sit-ins near the race track from 23rd October. Meanwhile both the Indian drivers Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandok are expected to race in this event.

Latest reports state that a multi layer security arrangement has been made for the event which will include the Delhi Police, UP Police, ex-commandos and foreign security agencies. The F1 teams are scheduled to stay at the Jaypee Green Golf and Spa resort. F1 fever is picking up in India and in the coming days the F1 race fever is going to pick up. If you have not bought your ticket for the event go and get it now else all the F1 tickets will be gone.
